[ARCHIVED] Taste of East Greenwich Stroll - traffic changes

On Thursday August 22, 2018, the East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Main Street Stroll. The Taste of East Greenwich Stroll event features a number of restaurants on Main Street offering free samples of their fare. Come and taste what one of Rhode Island's premier dining destinations has to offer. East Greenwich restaurants will have sampling stations set up so no one will have to stroll hungry.

As part of the stroll, the section of Main Street between Queen Street and King Street will be closed to vehicle traffic.

There will be a parking ban on Main Street from King Street to Queen St from 2pm to 9pm. Towing will be enforced for violators. Detour signage will be in place directing through traffic around the event.

There will be access to the waterfront from King Street for southbound traffic and from Rocky Hollow Road for north bound traffic.

The Stroll will take place from 5-8 PM with the road closure in place from 4:30-8:30 PM.

Main Street will be completely open to traffic by 8:30 PM. There will be

Police Personnel present at the major intersections to assist with traffic.
