On Sunday night and early Monday morning, aerial spraying to protect residents from the EEE infection was performed in certain areas of the state, including a small northwest section of East Greenwich. At this time, no further spraying is scheduled for East Greenwich.

The East Greenwich community should take precautions to avoid early morning and early evening activities, continue to use spray protection, and cover open skin areas.

It is strongly recommend to wear protective clothing and sprays if someone has to be outdoors during the early morning or early evening.

Find more information on the RI DEM website.  RI DEM will continue to provide the most up to date information regarding spaying activities, frequently asked questions, and further details regarding Rhode Island’s statewide response.
