The Town of East Greenwich is happy to announce that the Swift Community Center will host a free Covid-19 booster vaccination clinic on Wednesday, October 20th. The community can sign up via using the following link: https://www.vaccinateri.org/appointment/en/reg/5901650652
You are eligible to receive a booster dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after the date of your second Pfizer dose if:
-You are age 65 or older
-You are 18 or older and have an underlying medical condition [cdc.gov]
-You are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting
This clinic is also offering the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine which is for people age 12 or older only. You’ll need to click “agree” to attest that you are eligible for a vaccine in Rhode Island because you or your child are age 12 or older.
∙Those who can consent to vaccines for themselves:
-Anyone who is at least 16 years of age.
-Anyone who is under 16 years of age, but married.
∙Those who can consent to vaccines for their children:
-A parent of a child age 12 or older.
-Children who are ages 12 to 15 years old need consent from a parent or guardian to be vaccinated.
If you attest that you are a person who has a weakened immune system and received Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine previously, you are eligible to receive a third dose of Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least 28 days after the date of your second dose.
